What Is A Replacement Reconditioned Engine?
As engine rebuilders, when we rebuild your engine, we remove all the accessories from your engine such as the turbocharger, starter motor, alternator, injectors, engine mounts, brackets, ignition components, manifolds, hoses and many more parts.
What we replace is the engine core or “bare long block” with a reconditioned bare long block. Pictured below is a reconditioned long block. We then put all of your existing accessories onto the reconditioned long block. The warranty covers the rebuilt long block and our labour. Your original accessories are not part of the warranty.
When we inspect your engine accessory components during rebuilding, certain items may require replacement due to being worn out or damaged. This is an additional cost. Such items that can often require replacement are the turbocharger, intercooler, viscous fan, radiator, cooling hoses, manifolds and sometimes injectors. These are additional costs but only if required. We don’t replace parts unless they require replacing and can provide the old parts for inspection. We will notify you during the job if any parts are requiring replacement. Our prices for replacement parts are the lowest in Australia.
